Moulsford Cricket Club

We have an active Cricket Club that is 100 years old in 2010, great facilities and new players and helpers are always welcome!

If you are (ideally) male between 13 and 70 you are a potential cricketer so why not give it a try?  Practice sessions at the nets at 6.30pm on Fridays in April and May at the Moulsford Preparatory School.

Supporters always welcome for our matches; home matches take place at the village recreation ground on summer Sundays.

Find out more at club website http://moulsford.hitscricket.com/default.aspx

If you are interested in either a playing or non playing role, sponsorship or being part of the club, please contact Adrian Allen, Club Chairman on 01491 651905 or by email adrian.allen10@btinternet.com.

Soccer

In May 2004 - and to encourage our youngsters to train for Euro 2008! - the Parish Council erected a new half sized football goal.

As there has been so much usage of this goal the Parish Council decided to buy another goal and this was installed in July 2004.  The parish council are hoping that the next Wayne Rooney or David Beckham will be from Moulsford so get using the goals!

Moulsford Village BabySitting Circle

Get out more!  How it works - no money changes hands, only points!  When you sit for someone else you gain points and when you go out and someone esle sits for you, you use up points.  The aim is to keep as near to you starting points as possible!!   The group holds meetings (gossip, wine and nibbles!) at each others houses every few months.

If you are interested in joining, would like more information and details about the next meeting please ring Julie Grimshaw on 01491 652363.

Moulsford Moulez

Not quite old enough to vote or to drink yet then Moulsford Moulez is for you!

Following the success of the Friday nights at the Pavilion in Summer 2004 that  involved kids and grown ups, Moulsford Moulez was established in November 2004 as an opportunity for the older children (11 years or over) in the village to meet up through the winter.

So, during the winter, Moulsford Moulez meets on Friday evenings between 7.00pm and 9.30pm at the Pavilion.  There is a small entry charge - 50p which gets you entrance, a drink and a bag of crisps!

Participation by members will play a large part in making a success of Moulsford Moulez and it will not be run as a Youth Club where activities are put on for children.  It is much more an opportunity for members to manage their own group while being overseen by two responsible and willing adults.
